Clinical Consultation and Referral Service

The Society of NYSPP provides a consultation and referral service for individuals and families in the greater New York metropolitan area including Long Island and New Jersey. This clinical service is coordinated with the NYSPP training program. Consultations, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis are available for adults and adolescents. The referral service addresses a wide range of therapeutic challenges, such as anxiety, depression, difficulty in relationships, sexual dysfunction, life crisis, problems of self esteem, life disrupting symptoms associated with physical or sexual abuse, stress related to work setbacks, the emotional problems of adult children of alcoholics, chronic feelings of emptiness, loneliness and eating disorders. Fees are moderate and determined according to a sliding scale. The Society of NYSPP also maintains a Speakers Bureau available to schools, clinics, agencies, religious and community groups.
